Self-Paced Courses are accessed through our learning management system. The students are guided by clear weekly schedules, instructional videos, and automated assessments. Courses are written to be completed in one academic year, but students set their own pace. No grading is provided, but answer keys are available for most courses. Access is for one calendar year.

Course Description: Using the books Practice Makes Perfect – A Complete French Grammar and Easy French Reader, students will begin to learn the French language through reading and writing the very first week of class! The reader includes short stories about an American girl living in France, short stories about historical French figures, and excerpts from French literature. For the student who has been aching to begin a serious study of French as well as for the student who wishes simply to become acquainted with French, this should prove to be a fun choice! Grammar that is covered includes the following:

Good manners; Alphabet and pronunciation; Common phrases; Cardinal numbers; Days, months, and dates; Indefinite and definite articles; Regular and irregular verbs of present and past tenses; The negative ne...pas; Adjective endings; Prepositions; Interrogatives; Possessive adjectives; Imperative; Time; Demonstrative adjectives; and more!
